Cutbacks Disrupt Alzheimer Registry
(Source: The Plain Dealer) - Since the late 1980s, families and patients in the Cleveland area have participated in an Alzheimer's registry which compiled information to help researchers track the course of the disease. Data from more than 2,300 individuals are compiled in the data bank. Scientists hope that this information could some day point to a cure.

She had a successful career and was very active in the community until a few years ago. Over the last few months her whole demeanor has changed. Patent Applied for Neurodegenerative Biomarkers

Research Awards to Alzheimer's Scientists
(Source: MetLife Foundation) - The winners of the MetLife Foundation Awards for Medical Research in Alzheimer's Disease were announced today. Winners included
Dr. David Holtzman for his pioneering work in molecular biology examining the early stages of Alzheimer's and Dr. Berislav for his research defining the impact that blood flow plays in Alzheimer's disease.



Alzheimer's Agreement Extended
